Let me be honest… (big news)
This summer has been a fascinating and enlightening one.
Not only did Xania’s two brothers visit for 3000 years each. Not only did her delightful artist-couple friends visit (also for 3000 years), but we also went to the Fusion Festival in the rain.
And… I went back to Canada for a month and had tons of fun and exhilerating experiences. I met some lovely people in my hometown, hiked with my uncle in the kootenays, played a couple of small solo shows and partied in Vancouver…
Overall I had a pretty amazing time (in Canada). Perhaps too amazing because it looks like I will most likely be returning in three months to teach singing to young folks in my hometown of Prince George. And, I’ll be returning in a super-cold month and there will undoubtedly be tons of snow. Guess I’ll be making snow angels galore…

Not only that, but I will be making a solo album. It’s something I’ve been thinking of for a number of months and for the last while, I have spoken to several friends and trusted people who say it’s a good idea. I agree. I need to do it.
I like the album we made as Trike (Trike and the Vikings) but I also need to branch out and do something slightly different. I also want to make it in Prince George because I want to see how my hometown will influence it.
I’m also excited to see my mom. She expressed a lot of interest in having me live there again. I’d like that. It would be nice (also) to see other friends from my past, new friends and even perhaps do a few shows…
It wouldn’t be forever. I do plan on continuing with Trike. We’re a good stage act despite all else and we’ve played to some pretty amazing crowds on our last two tours. It’s an amazing experience. We hit Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Sweden and 12 other countries. It was a blast… and if it’s planned well, I’m sure it would be beneficial both fan-wise and financially.
I also have to figure out how to tour my solo stuff. I don’t know if I want to do the one-man-band thing. I like the idea of a backing band. That could be cool… we’ll see. It’s all stuff I can think about in the meantime.
